Paris is the city of my dream. Lately, I have had the opportunity to live my dream. Now, I am more in love with its breathtaking architecture and of course its culinary excellence. During my recent trip to Paris, I explored many cafés and tasted the mouthwatering cuisine of Paris. But, I got the opportunity to explore Guy Savoy, a Michelin 3-star restaurant located in the heart of Paris.
This was not merely a meal; it was a journey into the world of artistry, creativity, and passion for food that I will cherish forever.
The Ambience
Guy Savoy is just a short distance from the popular Louvre Museum. As soon as I entered the restaurant, it took me hardly 5 seconds to fall in love with the modern and sophisticated décor of the place. Muted tones and lighting contributed to creating warmth, elegance, and a cozy ambiance.
I relaxed at my table and enjoyed the stunning view of the Seine River and it was the perfect evening of my trip.
The Service
Guy Savoy has impeccable service and it was very evident by the moment I stepped in. The staff was knowledgeable and very attentive. They helped me with the wine list and suggested the best drinks that complemented the flavor of the dishes perfectly. It was very clear that the restaurant is very dedicated to service excellence.
The Culinary Odyssey
The menu of Guy Savoy was masterfully crafted, I chose “Innovation & Inspiration” and they promised to take my taste buds on an unforgettable journey. The Chef named Guy Savoy is very popular for his innovation and dedication to using the finest seasonal ingredients. Every dish served on the table was truly a masterpiece.
Before the main course, a selection of amuse-bouches was served which perfectly showcased the talent of the chef. After that, I got a dainty mouthful of caviar on top of a silky cauliflower cream. My palate was harmoniously swayed by the textures and flavors and I found myself waiting for more.
There was a dish that was a perfect presentation of variously cooked veggies, named “Colors of the Garden”. It was an elegantly and skillfully staged celebration of the abundance of the earth. The dish was a perfect fusion of textures and flavors.
The highlight of the evening was “artichoke soup with black truffle and layered truffled mushroom brioche”. The earthiness of the truffles and the richness of the artichoke created an explosion of flavor with each spoonful.
The seafood meal was also amazing. Smoked sauce, Crispy Sea Bass, and Vegetables from the Garden were representing the chef’s skills in managing the flavors, and “Oysters in Ice Gelee with Lemon Granite” was refreshing.
The Finale
After having my food, I could not help but start thinking about the mesmerizing experience I just had at Guy Savoy. It was more than just a meal, it was a celebration of talent and creativity.
A nicely prepared espresso marked the end of the evening.
